Brioche Buns
INGREDIENTS:
- 16 Oz Focaccia Mix (the whole pack)
- 2 tsp dried yeast
- 1 + ½ cups warm water
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp whipping cream
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
- 2 tsp whipping cream for brushing
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 85°F
- In a large bowl mix flour, salt, yeast with warm water
- Add olive oil
- Work dough for a few minutes then add whipping cream little by little
- Switch off the oven and place dough to rise for an hour
- After this time take dough out of the oven and turn it on again to 85°F
- Work dough with your hands again and form a long sausage
- Cut the dough in small buns and place them in a muffin tray
- Brush surfaces with yolk and whipping cream and spreads sesame seeds on top
- Place them in the oven again to rise for 30 minutes
- Take them out of the oven and turn it on to 390°F
- Bake your buns for approximately 20 minutes until golden
These buns are delicious with hamburgers or filled with ham and cheese
